Short Bio of Prof Jeom Kee Paik

Dr. Jeom Kee Paik is a professor of both Pusan National University (PNU) and University College London. He is a fellow and vice president of the U.S. Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), and a fellow and council member of the U.K. Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). He is a member of the Academic Advisory Council of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. He serves as president of the Korea Ship and Offshore Research Institute at PNU which has been a Lloyd’s Register Foundation Research Centre of Excellence since 2008. He received the William Froude Medal of RINA (2015), the David W. Taylor Medal of SNAME (2013), and the Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Liege in Belgium (2012).



Short Bio of Datuk Anuar Taib

Datuk Anuar Taib is the Executive Vice President and CEO of Upstream, PETRONAS, which integrates the Exploration & Production and LNG businesses globally. He joined PETRONAS in 2012 as CEO of PETRONAS Development and Production (PDP), responsible for both its Malaysia and International operations. He then advanced as the Senior Vice President of PETRONAS Upstream Malaysia. He started his career in 1990 as a Wellsite Drilling Engineer with an international oil & gas company. He then progressed through various technical, commercial and leadership positions and in country, regional and global roles. He is a member of PETRONAS Board, the Executive Committee and serves on various Boards of several Joint Ventures and Subsidiary Companies in the PETRONAS Group. He is also the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Region in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Datuk Anuar holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, United States and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, Australia.
